Managing Musculoskeletal Injury and Psychosocial Safety Risks (Note time is AEST)

NPSN EAG Member Dr Rob McCartney

NPSN EAG Member Helen Jentz

According to Comcare, 27 per cent of Australians have a chronic musculoskeletal disorder of some sort.

Leading Australian Occupational Health and Safety clinician Dr Rob McCartney says when he and his team see musculoskeletal injuries, they almost always find psychosocial injuries. The link between the two is being increasingly uncovered in research and practice.

In this session, national WHS leader Dr Rob McCartney will give leaders and managers tips into potential injury risks to look out for, the early warning signs of MSD, how to provide support, and how to create settings to minimise risks in the first place.

Rob will be joined by Musculoskeletal Australia CEO and NPSN EAG Member Helen Jentz to share data and insights into extent and impact, and what we are doing nationally to help.
