Nicky Brand

Nicky Brand is a behavioural scientist with over 20 years’ experience in developing and evaluating evidence-based programs, in Australia and the UK.  She has a passion for social justice and designing programs to make sustainable change, particularly for the most at-risk in our society. She has undertaken a range of leadership roles, bringing teams together to deliver improved psychological health with measured and meaningful impact.

Nicky’s role as Principal Consultant at Marshman Foundation, an independent research, development and evaluation organisation, has her providing thought leadership and creating contemporary, relevant, and effective content. In addition, she echoes the sentiment “measure what you value, and value what you measure” in developing monitoring tools, evaluation frameworks, and program logic models. Nicky continues to provide support in building capacity and capability to a range of organisations particularly those operating in the youth space, including those new to employment.

Nicky’s work measurably improves psychological outcomes in the workplace, using a bottom-up approach for building resilience and communication skills in young employees, through programs delivered by the social enterprise, Generation Thrive. Other professional interests include psychometric-based leadership coaching and team development. Personal interests include travel and improving her French language skills.
