Adjunct Assistant Professor Dr Allison Ballard
Allison Ballard is an independent work health and safety consultant and lawyer who specialises in workplace violence including workplace bullying and harassment. Allison investigates allegations of workplace violence and other forms of organisational misconduct and provides expert reports and guidance to organisations and impacted parties.
As an Adjunct Assistant Professor with the Canberra Law School, Allison is the clinical supervisor of the Citizen Centred Justice Legal Clinic. She was instrumental in establishing the Clinic, which is a unique and innovative student-led collaboration between the University of Canberra’s Medical and Counselling Centre, health practitioners, academics, and lawyers. The Clinic provides both pro bono legal assistance to patients referred from the Medical & Counselling Centre as well as a unique opportunity for high-performing law students to gain practical legal experience by assisting vulnerable clients with a range of issues including employment, workplace bullying, discrimination, and administrative law.
Allison is key contributor to the research on workplace violence and its impacts. She is a board member of the International Association on Workplace Bullying and Harassment (IAWBH) and a key contributor to change advocacy and the support of individual and organisations impacted by workplace violence and bullying.
