Dr Anna Blackman is the Co-Founder and Director of Talent Insight Solutions and former Associate Professor of Business, James Cook University (JCU). She specialises in the areas of Business Management, Human Resource Management, Human Behaviour and Communication, Coaching and Mentoring, Leadership and Technology for Innovative Teaching. Her expertise extends into E-Learning, Career Development, Coaching, Facilitating, and Research Design. She has over 60 academic and practitioner published outputs.
Under the leadership of Anna and eDISC Master Trainer Kylie Ellwood, Talent Insight Solutions specialises in Coaching, Human Resource Management, Business and Project Management, Rural and Regional Leadership and Technology for Innovative Teaching techniques. With a special focus on helping rural and regional business and industry thrive, TIS equips teams to perform at their best in a climate of trust, support and psychosocial safety.
While making waves in academia, Anna’s true love is in the hands-on, industry-based side of her work where theory comes alive in the realities of organisational practice. She also has a decade of experience in running and managing small businesses. Her goal is always to help organisations find the best way to develop people and link them to the skills they need for success. Anna holds a PhD in business coaching, and is an Extended DISC Consultant, an Australian HR Institute (AHRI) Certified Practitioner Fellow, AHRI Queensland State Councillor, Future Shapers Alumni (ANU), Associate Fellow Australian Institute of Management (AFAIM), Academy of Management member and is the Vice President of Research for the EMCC Asia Pacific Region.
