In Memory of Dr Paul Brown

Global Organisational Neuroscience Thought Leader

Dr Paul Brown was an early leader in applied neuroscience, bringing our growing working knowledge of the brain to life in organisations.

As the founder of the International Organisational Neuroscience Partnership, a leading academic and thought leader, and sought-after coach and clinical psychologist, Paul made an immense contribution to leadership and organisational development. Paul’s pioneering map of the emotions in the brain became a foundation for improving organisational performance--and moving us towards cultivating fear-free organisations.

Paul’s insights in applying our growing knowledge of the brain have left us with so many crucial insights for ongoing attention, including, for example, that:

  • the brain is the organ of relationship—and that in harnessing relationships we find our most potent source of energy and material for change

  • the brain is an emotion-driven system, and that emotions drive the way we process information, shape thoughts, make decisions and behave

  • one of the most urgent priorities for today’s organisations is to help the people in them reconnect to their organisation’s purpose.

We are deeply grateful for Paul’s contribution and committed to extending his legacy for the benefit of today’s workforces and organisations.
